Moms ~You Get to Decide!

Yes, You get to decide. Your words are powerful!

Each one of us is blessed with the right to choose how we are going to describe our life.  We get to decide how we define our lives to ourselves and then how we want to share the story of our lives with others.    Mother-Father God blessed us each with the gift of free will.   We are the boss of our lives, the thoughts we think, and the words we speak.

We get to decide how we choose to live our lives.    In every word, we speak we get to decide the words that we will use to tell our story.   Our words carry great value.    They are the foundation upon which we build our lives.   The words we choose to speak today are the fuel of the lives we live tomorrow.

Each word that we speak or write is a building block of the life that we are co-creating with Mother-Father God.   Our creator wants us to experience a joy-filled life while we are here in earth-school.   We have the free-will to decide if we are going to choose words and thought...

Kind Words - Growing Goodness For All

How many times have you said something out loud and then later wished that you could take back what you had just said?   There have been times in the past that I have come to the realization that "I really didn't mean what I said." Have you ever had that happen to you?

One of my practices today is to watch the thoughts that cross my mind.  It has been a surprising discovery for me to come to understand that many of the thoughts that have crossed my mind are not mine.   They are thoughts that I have inherited from the situation that I was spending time in or from the environment that I was raised in.

This realization that I am not my thoughts and that I actually get to choose what thoughts I allow in my life has given me such relief and a new sense of freedom.   "Ah, I'm not my thoughts, and I get to choose if I want to act from what I am thinking or not."   A whole new world of possibilities has opened up for me.

Have you ever had the experience of noticing that you are not your ...

Good News! No Matter What You Are Never Alone!

Moms, have you ever felt like you were alone on your journey in life?

Have you ever had feelings that you could not really be put into words?

Or maybe, you could put into words what you were feeling, but feared deep down inside of you that when you mustered the nerve to share what was challenging you that no one would get you, understand you,or they would think you were just being "emotional" or would that you would be left out of the in-group?

Well, I certainly can relate to those feelings and I have worked with many women who feel the same way.    It is so good that you are acknowledging those feelings if you are experiencing something similar!   That is one of the ways that our creator tries to get our attention in the busy modern world that we find ourselves living in today.

Have you ever found yourself longing to stop the go, go, go routine?  Would you love to sit and chat with someone who really gets you?   Open your heart and expose your deepest feelings that might even b...

Cranky Mom to Grateful Mom

Autumn is the time of year that I love to watch the leaves race down the driveway like a group of excited children running to see a new attraction. I feel grateful to live in a part of the world where we get to enjoy four seasons. Each season holds its own unique gifts. Years ago, during the busy fall preparations for the holidays, I found myself becoming frazzled and cranky.

I was not feeling the true holiday spirit, and my acting job did not fool my family one bit.  In my heart, I knew it was time for me to make some changes and turn this picture around.

I have so much for which to be grateful; however, I had gotten out of the daily practice. One of the most powerful things I have discovered that I can do for myself is beginning my day listing three things for which I am grateful at the beginning of my day.

The simple yet powerful step of acknowledging what I am grateful can help to shift me from being a cranky mom into a grateful mom who is a much happier person to be around.  ...

The credit card machine was prompting me to input the phone number so I could get our family rewards points credited to our account.  l was in the process of paying at the office supply store and I have entered this number many times at this store. No problem, easy peasy! However on this day I could not for the life of me, remember the number that we use on this particular account.   My mind went totally blank!   Have you every had the same experience where someone ask you something you know by heart and your mind goes blank?

I have to admit I was feeling bit embarrassed.  What was going on?  I know, I know this phone number!  Maybe, I stayed up a little to late reading my book.  The lady who was working at the cash register was so kind. She said, "I totally know how you feel.  I now keep a book in my car with all my important phone numbers written down.  My cell phone ran out of power the other day and I did not have a charg...
