The dreams that we hold in our hearts are beautiful seeds.  In the garden of our life, we want to provide them with the best living environment possible.   So when we notice weeds cropping or uncomfortable feelings in ourselves, we need to pause to look at what these uncomfortable feelings are communicating to us.

We don’t want to push these feelings down. After all, they are trying to get our attention because they need your attention to heal. We want to trust our vibes. So when you have a feeling of sadness, anger, or depression rise up, you can allow yourself to feel the emotion and breathe.   Knowing that you are safe because your Heavenly Support Team is always with you.    If you need help in understanding your lesson, you can ask for Mother Mary to help you in understanding what your emotions were teaching you.

Moms ~You Get to Decide!

Yes, You get to decide. Your words are powerful!

Each one of us is blessed with the right to choose how we are going to describe our life.  We get to decide how we define our lives to ourselves and then how we want to share the story of our lives with others.    Mother-Father God blessed us each with the gift of free will.   We are the boss of our lives, the thoughts we think, and the words we speak.

We get to decide how we choose to live our lives.    In every word, we speak we get to decide the words that we will use to tell our story.   Our words carry great value.    They are the foundation upon which we build our lives.   The words we choose to speak today are the fuel of the lives we live tomorrow.

Each word that we speak or write is a building block of the life that we are co-creating with Mother-Father God.   Our creator wants us to experience a joy-filled life while we are here in earth-school. ...

My Mom's Kitchen Table Wisdom ~ Healthy Family Healthy Home

It was so amazing to me! My Mom became so smart the older I became.   When I was a teenager I had no idea the wisdom that my Mother carried within.   She was always offering her healthy tips, and when I became a Mother myself, I really began to listen ...finally!  Can you relate?

My Mom's Kitchen Table Wisdom is a series of blog posts where I will share the wisdom on how to handle the boo-boos of life that my Mother shared with me at our Kitchen Table.   They have quite literally been lifesavers for my family, and I offer them to you with the joy that my Mother offered them to me.

First Up  ~ The power of the Salt of our earth home.

Whenever our family had a cold or a sore throat, my Mom would have us gargle with warm saltwater.    The warm salt water would soothe our sore-throats and offer relief.   Salt, in ancient times, was used as a disinfectant.

Viruses are believed to hang out in your throat for four days before they go into your...

It's Fall Ya' All - Season to Remember Loved Ones

It Fall Ya' All!

Every year around this time I am deeply reminded of how life is about change.   Growing up in the heartland of America, fall always was the signal for showing gratitude for the harvest from our abundant farmlands. They called our part of the world the "Wheat Capital of the World" for all the wheat that was grown in our part of the world.   The sea of golden waving wheat crops was a testament to a good summer with enough rain and sunny days and our home gardens would be overflowing with mouth-watering and nutritious homegrown goodness.  Homegrown tomatoes and cucumber can get this girl's mouth-watering anytime.

As I have grown older,  I have begun to include in our fall celebration the honoring of my ancestors and all other ancestors for all they have done in their lifetimes, so that we may live the life that we are fortunate enough to live today.    Each child that is born is standing on the shoulders of a...

How to Walk on Sunshine & Water!

A dream of mine as a child is that I wanted to walk on water.   You know if Jesus could do it then why couldn't  I.   He even said these things I do you can do and greater.  That was all I needed to hear to start me on the adventure of trying to accomplish walking on water, just like Jesus.

Eureka, I knew I had found the answer to my self-imposed challenge to walk on water.  It arrived in my mailbox and was right there waiting for me inside a spring catalog that was full of all kinds of goodies promising loads of summer fun.   I was amazed to discover that they had just the tool I needed to accomplish my water-walking desire.  They had big inflatable feet that you were supposed to put on your own feet, and you would be able to walk on water.  We are talking they are some big shoes!

Look out, I'm coming for you, Jesus!   My birthday was in the summer, so you know exactly what the first item on my birthday list was...Water...

Gifts of Following Your Nose!

Remember hearing the slogan, "Just follow Your Nose, It always knows!"  I do and it has been one that I have repeated throughout my life many times. Little did I realized when I was growing up that that popular slogan would be a important part of the foundation of my life and how I have guided my children to navigate our world.

I have always encouraged my kids to listen to their inner guidance system or intuition.   We lovingly call it listening to the phone call from God in our home.   My children know that they have a direct communication line with God or what some call the all knowing source of our creation.

I was raised in a environment where listening to your intuition or inner guidance was not supported by the structured systems where I was educated.   We were encouraged to look outside of ourselves for answers.   Thankfully, God was persistent in an effort to get helpful guidance and messages to me in other ways.  ...

Good News! No Matter What You Are Never Alone!

Moms, have you ever felt like you were alone on your journey in life?

Have you ever had feelings that you could not really be put into words?

Or maybe, you could put into words what you were feeling, but feared deep down inside of you that when you mustered the nerve to share what was challenging you that no one would get you, understand you,or they would think you were just being "emotional" or would that you would be left out of the in-group?

Well, I certainly can relate to those feelings and I have worked with many women who feel the same way.    It is so good that you are acknowledging those feelings if you are experiencing something similar!   That is one of the ways that our creator tries to get our attention in the busy modern world that we find ourselves living in today.

Have you ever found yourself longing to stop the go, go, go routine?  Would you love to sit and chat with someone who really gets you?   Open your heart and expose...

Special Delivery ~ Flowers for Heaven

Who knew that spending time in prayer and meditation is like sending flowers to heaven?

I certainly had not considered this joyful viewpoint of prayer and meditation growing up.   I always thought of prayer as asking for things I  or others needed help with. Then making sure I said thank you.

Never did I consider that the time that I spent in communion with God/Creator as such a beautiful way to send flowers to heaven.  It has been said that praying is talking to God/Source and meditation is listening to God/Source.

Most people I know like to be listened to and heard when they speak.    In my experience, God loves when we take the time to pray and listen in quiet meditation for the answers.  I like to imagine that I am delivering a beautiful bouquet of flowers to God each time I sit in prayer and meditation.   It brings me joy and helps me feel more connected.

What about you?  Have you sent any special delivery flowers to heaven...

#1 Parenting Tip ~ Bundle Your KIDS Up with This, BEFORE You Send them on their Way!

Moms In Joy ~ In All Kinds of Weather.

Baby, It's Cold Outside!  I HAVE DISCOVERED THE MOST IMPORTANT ALL-WEATHER GEAR FOR MY FAMILY.   As a mother, the moment I feel the cold chill in the air outside, I know the time near to bundle my kiddos up.  I begin running my mental list to make sure everyone is outfitted with coats that are warm enough for the incoming weather front, along with scarfs, hats, gloves and warm socks.

Mothers are designed by our creator to protect our children.

We all want to make sure our kids have the proper protection, not just from the cold but from all of the dissonant elements that they may encounter in their lives.

One day while I was in prayer, I asked for the best way to protect my children in today's world.  You see as a child I was not fearful of the world, however, as I grew older become increasingly more...

To Spank or Not to Spank Your Child?

Throughout time the age old questions that new parents have had to decide is how are we going to raise and guide our children when it comes to discipline.   Some parents chose to follow the well- worn path of continuing  to raise their children the way their parents chose to  raised  them.   While other couples decide they want to change some things up from the way they were disciplined by their parents.   Still others may decide they are going to raise their children completely opposite of how their parents raised them.

Let's look at the definition of the word discipline as defined in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

1.  Discipline -

a.  control gained by enforcing obedience or order.

b.  orderly or prescribed conduct or pattern of behavior

c.  Self-Control.

My husband Jeff and I were newly married we had not given much thought or conversation to how we were going to discipline our first child Tori.   One day we found...
